Coming Attractions

It's hard to believe that February is almost over. I was just getting used to January when February hit. How about you? :)

March marks my 5th Blogoversary. The theme is Good Friends Old and New, and it will feature interviews, a guest post or two, and a giveaway that will include chocolate. Because what is a Blogoversary celebration without chocolate, right?

And if that's not enough to look forward to, author Alex J. Cavanaugh stops by next Monday to discuss the Insecure Writer's Support Group. What is the IWSG? Join us and find out!

Are you celebrating any special occasions in the coming weeks?

Have a great week!

Happy writing,

Karen

  4. Hey, I know that guy!
Congratulations on five years. Can you believe it's been that long? Or does it seem like forever now?

  5. Congrats on 5 years. I think next month marks 9 for me.

Love the photo of old cameras! I used to have a really old medium format camera and it took the best photos.

  6. There simply MUST be chocolate. Yes! :-) Amigo, sounds like great fun. I've wanted to join IWSG for the longest. Just waiting on Christopher to feel better. I'll be back! Hugs and loves. xoxo

  7. Wow! Five years. Congratulations! Some marriages don't last that long. I'm celebrating the end of the awful weather we've been having; this week the weatherman says the temperature will rise to 60 degrees. That's reason to celebrate!

  9. Happy Blogoversary to you, Happy Blogoversary to you, Happy Blogoversary to you, Dear Karen.

Come July, I will celebrate six years of blogging. Next month, my hubby and my son will tell me I have become another year older. I have mixed feelings about the way they do it.

  10. Happy 5 years! Yes, we have fun stuff in the coming weeks -- my youngest daughter turns 20 on the 27th of this month, and my son is getting married on March 8th. Big happenings! :)

  11. Alex,
Oh do you? I was going to introduce you otherwise. :) He's a great writer and blogger!

    Diane,
Thank you! Wow, congrats to you on 9 years! Your blog is fresh and interesting and new every time I stop by. :)

    Robyn,
Yes, chocolate - make sure you come by! :) I've thought about joining too. One of these days...
Hope Christopher is feeling better soon!

    Donna,
Thank you! Doing a little celebrating here too as temps warm a little. We still have snow cover, but not nearly as high as before. :)

    Tyrean,
Thank you! Congrats to you on your book being out for a year already! :) One of these days I will have a chance to read it.

    Cecelia,
Aww, you are so sweet! Thank you. Happy early Birthday to you! And disregard what they say, the number doesn't matter at all! :)

    Happy writing,

  17. I cannot believe how the year's already flying. I can't. But then, I'm always about one season behind the rest of you. :D

Happy blogoversary! Five years shows great perseverance; one of your strengths, I'm thinking. And that's grand.

Just celebrated Mr. Schrock's birthday, then Valentine's, all in a heap. Always looking for a party here, so I'll let you know what's up next. :D

    Happy February.

  18. There is so much to celebrate I don't know where to start. I think for me, it is my family. I just love spending time with them.

  19. Sounds great!

I was told by Twitter it was my 4 year anniversary there. I can't believe it's been that long!

  20. Rhonda,
I know it, seems like it was just New year's! I think I'm always shopping one season behind in the clothes department. :) Happy Birthday to Mr. Schrock!

    Lady Lilith,
That's good news! We do have much to be thankful for here, don't we? :)

    Jennifer,
Wow, then you are a Twitter expert then, right? I need to take lessons from you on that. :)

    Happy writing,
    Karen

  23. Happy blogoversary! I don't want to think about how long I've been blogging...I started on MySpace, if that tells you anything!

  24. Hi Karen! Happy, happy anniversary! How fun that you will celebrate by gifting one of us. And as far as that group is concerned, I think it describes 99.9% of writers, don't you think? I guess I'm too late to be a charter member, but I'm ready to join :)
Blessings and many joys for all the joy and support you have provided in the last three years,
    Ceil

  28. Happy 5th Blogoversary! Celebrating with chocolate sounds like a grand idea.

March is a time of many celebrations for us. We have four birthdays in our family in March, as well as the anniversary of my and my husband's first date. (I know, I know, how gooey to celebrate that, but we enjoy it.)

Wishing you much continued success and many more blogoversaries to come. Be well.

  29. Congratulations on your blogoversary. It's my 5th this September. How the years have passed!! So many blessings to count between then and now. I'm sure you feel the same, Karen. YOU are one of those blessings.

    Have a great weekend. xx

  30. Janette,
Thank you! :) I appreciate your support and friendship. Sounds like March will be a busy month for you. I think it's sweet that you celebrate the anniversary of your first date!

    Dotti,
Thanks so much! Congrats on your upcoming celebration as well! So glad we met through blogging. :) I count you among my blessings too!

    Happy weekend,

  31. The only way it could be better is if you included cheese in the giveaway...but it's rather difficult to ship. Maybe not up north with all those sub-arctic temperatures, but here in the land of sunshine?

    ReplyDelete
  32. Hi Crystal,
You are exactly right! But it could get tricky keeping the cheese cold if I had to send to warmer climates, like yours. So I say that we choose a date and time and enjoy some celebratory cheese together. You in? :)
    Happy writing,
    Karen

  33. Hi Karen - congratulations on 5 years .. me too earlier in the year. It seems amazing that I'm still here - and I bet you feel the same way ... yet we've all connected with so many different writers, friends, supporters through those years ...

Looking forward to meeting your Old and New Friends ... cheers Hilary

  34. Hilary,
So you've been going 5 years too - it is a milestone, isn't it? Who would have thought it, right? When I began, I didn't look so far ahead. Well you know what they say, time flies when you're having fun! :) Thanks so much for stopping by.
    Blessings,
