I have to think about this poetry contest.
    Susan's guest blog is good.

  9. Ah, poetry. One of many things I'm not good at. Guess I should mosey on over and take a look though. I enjoy reading it, even though my writing poetry skills leave a lot to be desired.

  10. That's an awesome grand prize. Usually I see a book giveaway as a prize. Wish I could write poetry but alas I have trouble just finding two words that rhyme.

  11. Donna,
You are welcome! Nice to see you:)

    Diane,
Thanks:) Yes, I agree, Susan is a sweetheart. Well, both Susans, actually!

    Cecelia,
I think you should give it a shot! You've written poetry, haven't you?

    Shannon,
I hear ya; poetry's not really my thing either. Wonder how much we could improve if we worked at it? :)

    Stephen,
That is a sweet prize. Perhaps I should work to improve my poetry skills...

    Blessings all,
    Karen

  15. Hi Karen -

    Thanks for the link.

My poetry rarely sees the light of day. I'll stick to writing it for de-stressing purposes. :)

    Blessings,
    Susan

  16. How'd you slip back in and I didn't know about it? I ALWAYS try to know everything. hehe

I'm glad you're back. Iread your article over at Stephen's house. Didn't comment, because I felt bad that I got there so late. Actually ashamed is more like it.

I enjoyed reading it, though. I loved all eight points. Especially number four, sowing and reaping.

Anyway, I missed Susan's guest post, too. I guess y'all should DISOWN me. I love you though. And I am still praying for you and your family.

  17. I don't write poetry, but it sounds like a great contest. Are you entering?

Off to check on the lovely Susan!

  18. Susan,
You are most welcome. Always happy to pass along good info! :) Particularly stuff from good blogging friends.

    Robyn,
Well, sometimes those who know everything just get distracted, that's all. And no disowning you. Never! Thanks, sweet friend.

    Jill,
No, I'm not entering, even though the contest sounds great. I don't really write poetry and it would take a while for me to come up with something...like way past the deadline! :)

    Blessings all,
    Karen

  19. I've never been good at poetry, but respect people who do have this talent. I write a little haiku from time to time, but that's about it. Have a great weekend!

  20. So glad you shared that information! Very useful. And I enjoyed all your recent posts--I never would've guessed those were the sources of the quotes (I think I only got the first one, but then again, I think a 5-year old would've gotten that one.)

  21. Clarissa,
    You are most welcome!

    Stephen,
For some reason writing poetry has never been my thing either...oh well:)

    Samuel,
Thanks! Hope you find it helpful.

    Happy weekend,
    Karen

  23. I've been getting the emails about the poetry contest and the now past deadline short story contest. I really should consider some of these for next year. Maybe some of the free ones especially.
