Just for Fun

Time for a little off topic fun!

Bridget over at Mint Green With Envy features product reviews and giveaways. Reviewed goodies include household products, cosmetics, purses, scarves, and jewelry. If you're in the mood for a good contest, this is the place to go.

I've mentioned this blog before, but in case you happened to miss it, Silver Savings and Freebies is another fun place to read a review and enter a drawing. Candles, cosmetics, and even vinyl wall decals are some of the recent offerings.

Another favorite fun blog is the Giveaway Lady. Here you will find reviews and giveaways galore. Stop by and see what blog host Charity has to say about everything from books, cosmetics, storage containers, and beyond, plus links to other great contests and goodies.

Writing Straight From the Heart is Susan Wicker's lovely blog that features posts about art, collectibles, and a whole lot more. Susan's photos and commentary add a little thought provoking fun and culture to my blog roll.

What have you been doing for fun lately?

Blessings to you, and Happy Writing!

  3. We had a weekend break from winter weather. I made sure I got outside to soak up some sunshine. I took nice long walks on both days.

This morning the rain has moved back in and the snow is coming behind it. But the songs of the birds and the warmth of the sun are still in my head.

  6. Cassandra,
Here in north central KY we had spring like weather on Sunday too. But it looks like it will be back to winter. That's okay, it'll be spring before we know it!

I had a wonderful weekend of writing on Saturday! I'm battling a cold now--guess it's that time of year! But I'm still planning to keep plugging away at my WIP.

  15. Cool links! I'm barely keeping my head above water, does that count as fun? At least I'm not dead yet, right? Right. :)

  16. Great links Karen. Thanks for sharing. They sound positively lovely.

And I received my book last week. The chapter, Coming Home to Carry Me Home, chapter 12, I believe was my favorite. I love hearing other believers say that an angel comes to get us. I have always believed that.

Thanks so much for having the contest. =)

  20. Jill,
Yes, well Cadbury mini eggs - don't need an excuse to eat them! And they fall into the fun category, that's for sure!:)

  25. Let's see, fun, huh? Does sleeping count?

Salad bar at Ruby Tuesday last week with my DH--that was fun.

    Thanks for asking!

    ReplyDelete
  26. Jeanette,
Yes, I think sleep counts as fun, especially when you need it. Ruby Tuesday's is great too! And someone I know will be going out west soon...that should be fun:)
    Blessings,

  27. Wow, there are just way too many good blogs out there. ;) One could spend an entire day going from one to the next.
    Thanks for putting these up!

Oh, and as to fun...Olympics! My only problem is finding someone to watch with me. I've got to have someone there to say, "Can you believe what that Ice Dancer is wearing?!" to. ;)

  28. No wonder people flock to this blog. Great questions. Great info.
    Great writer's voice.

Hmmm. Fun? Went to Chicago by the train yesterday. Did not get what I went for but with friend Chanel by my side, took pictures, laughed, pretend shopped (in those designer stores where I don't belong) and had a great lunch and coffee!!! Fun! Sigh. Now back to reality.

  29. Emily,
I know, there are a ton of great blogs out there! You could get lost on the internet. The Olympics have been fun to watch, but I know what you mean. Each time I've watched any figure skating I've been alone. No one to critique it with. Maybe we can set up a phone conference and watch it together!:
    Thanks for coming by,
    Karen

  30. Patti,
Thanks! You're making me blush:) Sounds like you had a fun day. So you pretend shop too, huh? My hubby is from the Chicago area; maybe someday we can come up there and do some pretend shopping and bump into you:)
    Blessings,
    Karen

  31. Hey, Karen. Thanks for the great links. I wish I could report some fun to you. Maybe next week. I've battled quite a cold/flu this past weekend and I've been working A LOT! Okay, I did get to celebrate one of my dearest friend's birthday yesterday. That was fun! And I went sledding last week. I never do that.

  32. Heather,
You are welcome! Sorry to hear that you weren't feeling well. Glad to hear that you had a little bit of fun:)
