Average week as far as life goes - and still working on my next book.
ReplyDeleteThanks for "heads up" on the writing contest. Will rummage through my short stories and see what I can dig up or maybe the muse will bless me with a new and wonderful story!
ReplyDeleteWorking on home remodeling projects and just trying to stay cool in the sauna called Florida!
Will miss ya!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the info!
I'm preparing for a writing class, too.
Waving at ya across the lesson plans!
P
Alex,
ReplyDeleteSounds good. Keep us posted on your progress!
Donna,
Hope you find/write a suitable story! Let us know how you make out, okay?
Patti,
Will miss you all too! Waving here as well. Nice to know I'm not alone:)
Thanks and blessings to each of you,
Karen
I'm doing just the opposite. I'm plugged in and writing away. Too much on my mind right now. I'm thinking big thoughts right now.
ReplyDeleteStephen Tremp
I'm all ready missing you. :( I hope your week is productive. Those lesson plans sound great.
ReplyDeleteI am working on book two. I decided to wait and query after Labor Day. Too many agents are on vacation right now.
This weekend we're going to stay at the Great Wolf Lodge in Charlotte. Very expensive. We're just staying two days. They have a water park. Can't wait. Bringing my laptop. Have a wonderful week.
Hugs friend. :)
Great links! Have a get 'er done kind of week! :O)
ReplyDeleteThanks for the links as always. I have already sent in my WD submission - keeping fingers and toes crossed, but mostly need the experience.
ReplyDeleteBlessings Karen!
Thanks for the links, Karen :-) and love the photo of the barn! Me? I'm using this week to catch up on a few things, plus we have our writer's critique group tomorrow. That's always fun...
ReplyDeleteHope you have a good unplug week. Are you going to enter the WD fiction contest?
ReplyDeleteThanks for the links! Sounds like you have a busy week planned!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the links Karen!! Going to go check out the WD contest rules now!
ReplyDeleteStephen,
ReplyDeleteGood for you; productivity is a good thing. Big thoughts are good too!
Robyn,
Missing the gang already! Yay for Book Two! Excited for you about it. Probably wise to wait till after Labor Day. :)
Diane,
Thanks! I'm planning on it:)
Jan,
Hope you do well! Let us know, okay? WD does run some good contests that provide great experience.
Kenda,
You are welcome! I love this photo too; it's from the Jackson Hole, WY area. Love it out there. Actually think I've used the pic before:)
Angie,
Thanks, I am hoping to get a lot done. You know, I hadn't thought about entering. Maybe I should! :)
Alisa,
Thanks! Yes, it will be busy. There's actually more than I can get done in one week, but aiming to get as much done as possible.
Lindsey,
You're welcome. Oh, you should enter! Keep us posted! :)
Thanks and blessings to each of you,
Karen
Hi Karen! Thanks for the links! You're so helpful and I really appreciate it. Thanks to your heads-up on writing opportunities, I've got a devotional coming out with Chicken Soup for the Soul in October!
ReplyDeleteI'm almost ready to submit a manuscript. Ack! I hope your time unplugged is productive and a blessing. Thanks again.
Have a fantastic week planning your lessons, Karen! Thanks for all the wonderful tips and nuggets of info you're so good about passing along! God bless you friend! :)
ReplyDeleteSusanne,

Maria,
Thank you. You are most welcome to the goodies. They just seem like they need to be shared:)
Blessings to each of you,

Hi Karen -
ReplyDeleteEnjoyed the review! I took a workshop at Philly that covered writing tight.
Hope your week is productive. I'm catching up with blogging, editing, and life this week.
Blessings,
Susan :)
Hey Karen, success in your writing!!
ReplyDeleteHi Karen! Loved The Coffee House! You'll be missed this week, but I totally understand! I need to unplug from blogging and do more of my book writing!!
ReplyDeleteSusan,
ReplyDeleteWriting tight is a good thing to practice. Glad you had a good time at the conference.
Marja,
Thanks, and to you as well! :)
Becky,
The Coffee House is a great source of info. Will miss you all too!
Blessings to each of you,
Karen
Hi Karen .. thanks for the links and good luck with finishing off your teen on-line writing course .. sounds interesting .. enjoy the space .. and have a good week .. Hilary
ReplyDeleteGetting my kids off to school today (sniff). This time, it's not them shouting, "Go on past, prison bus. Go on past!" I'll miss them terribly. So will the three footer.
ReplyDeleteI continue to write (as you know) and inhale coffee and look for that 'normal' schedule again. That's as exciting as it gets presently.
Wishing you a terribly productive week,
Rhonda
I had to see if I have read this post or not and I don't think so but I knew you were taking a break. It sounds good. I need to one of these days.
ReplyDeleteHilary,
ReplyDeleteYou are welcome to the links! Thanks for the good wishes. Hoping to get a lot done:)
Rhonda,
Yes, school is in session in many places, isn't it? Enjoy your coffee and regrouping time!
Terri,
I think I need one of those months to catch up on everything I'd like to! Oh well, perhaps one day:)
Blessings to each of you,
Karen
Thanks for the links! And good for you teaching! Have fun!
ReplyDeleteSo fun- I am waiting to hear back from publishers! Very very boring.
ReplyDeleteAnd yes excited for school starting and all the busyness of getting ready.
Jill,
ReplyDeleteYou are welcome! Hope they are helpful:)
Jennie,
Yes, waiting to hear can be boring. Hope you hear good news!
Blessings,
Karen
This is one of those weeks where Life keeps intruding! Doc appointments, administrative glitches at my daughter's school, etc. Looking forward to "an even keel"...eventually!
ReplyDeleteTHanks for the great links! I think I need to get off-line too . . . but I promised myself that I would post those blessing posts each day . . . hmm, I think I need a compromise, like a timed on-line time.
ReplyDeleteHoping to get some "regular" writing done today, as well as some plans for a writing course for 9-11 years olds at the homeschool co-op we attend. So much to do, and so much of it has to do with writing - which is awesome!
Hope you have a productive week!
Lisa,
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean. As much as I have scheduled an 'off' week, other stuff keeps popping up. Not sure anymore what that even keel is:)
Tyrean,
There's an idea, setting a certain amount of time aside for online stuff. It's easy to not be disciplined, but we can if we work at it.
Blessings,
Karen
Just got back from vacation and checked out the review....nice job, Karen! :)

Have a great unplug week.
ReplyDeleteI just got back from a little trip to Boston and took in a Red Sox game at Fenway!
Barbara,
ReplyDeleteA vacation, how nice! Hope you had a good time:) Thanks about the review, the book is a handy resource.
Jennifer,
Glad you got a chance to go away. So did the Red Sox win? :)
Thanks and blessings to each of you,
Karen
