Crunch Time

It's crunch time! I've got a deadline this week for volume one of my book, so I'm taking the week off to wrap it up.

I hope you'll join me next week when Susan Sundwall stops by to discuss her latest book. Looking forward to having her visit. :)

How do you manage your time around a deadline?

Have a great week,

Karen

  2. Those chips look good, Karen--a good choice next to chocolate :-) Good luck on meeting your deadline!

  4. I seem to work well under pressure - but would choose more space for myself. Succes and enjoy the crunchies.

  5. No doubt you'll meet that deadline---you're a professional. And if you have that bowl of chips helping you along, no worries. Chips and cheese doodles does it for me. :)

  6. Keith,
Thank you! Iced tea, no sugar is my go to beverage. That and the occasional Diet Coke. :)

    Kenda,
They do, don't they? Chocolate is the go to when the sweet tooth is beckoning, that's for sure. :)

    Diane,
Thanks so much! :) Appreciate you coming by.

    Alex,
This is exactly what I need to do. Starting as soon as I get off here! ) lol

    Anita,
I do too. Well mostly, anyway. :) I like space too, it does seem a bit less stressful that way.

    Lisa,
Thank you for the vote of confidence! Much appreciated. I do like pretzels as well. :)

    Have a great week,
    Karen

  7. Good luck with your deadline! When I have one I try to get in as many hours per day as I can so that I can hopefully finish a day early or I have a day buffer in case anything goes wrong (or I get sick).

Wishing you the best of luck! I know you will get it done. :)

  8. I'm pretty tired, sleepless, and stressed around a deadline. I somehow meet it, usually a day or a few days early.

    Have a productive week.

  9. Jess,
Thanks so much! Working hard to get things finished up. :) Not sure how early I'll be this time.

    Medeia,
I can be the same way, although I am trying to avoid it this time around. Thanks a bunch!

    Happy writing,
    Karen

  11. Hi Karen! I am not an author like you, but I read this really cute quote that I think you'll like. "I love deadlines. I love the whooshing noise they make as they go by." (Said no writer EVER!)
Best of blessings on your busy week,
    Ceil
